Water heater installation
Water heater installation in Westchester County, including replacing a tank that is failing: gas and electric units sized to your household, installed to code, with the old unit taken away.

Tankless water heater installation and repair across Westchester County: gas, electric and propane units sized to the house, vented to code, and repaired when they throw an error code or start running cold.
Tankless water heaters heat water only when you need it, take up far less space than a tank and can last much longer. But they have to be sized correctly and vented properly — an incorrectly vented unit is a genuine safety risk.
KBD installs and repairs tankless units across Westchester County, from Dobbs Ferry and the Rivertowns to Yonkers, Scarsdale and White Plains. We are licensed and insured, we check the gas or electrical supply and the venting before recommending a unit, and the price is agreed before any work starts.
New tankless systems sized for your household and vented to code.
A unit that flashes a code and will not fire, usually down to ignition, flame sensing, venting or a blocked inlet filter, diagnosed and repaired.
Cold bursts in the middle of a shower, water that never gets properly hot, or a unit that cuts out when a second faucet opens.
Mineral buildup flushed out of the heat exchanger, the usual cause of slow, noisy or overheating units.
Failed units swapped for a new, correctly sized model.
Replacing a tank? The gas or electrical supply, venting and water connections are checked first, so the new unit suits the house.
Mineral build-up reduces efficiency and shortens the life of a tankless unit. Annual servicing keeps it running at its best.
Tell us what’s going on. If water is coming through, shut the main valve off first — we can help you find it.
Right away for emergencies, and at a time that suits you for everything else.
We find the cause, explain it in plain terms and give you the price before any work starts.
The job done properly, the space left clean, and an honest word if anything else needs attention.
Still not sure? Phone us — asking costs nothing.
For many households, yes — they save space, heat water on demand and last longer than tanks. The right size depends on how many people and fixtures use hot water at once, and working that out is the first step of any tankless water heater installation.
Minerals in the water build up inside the heat exchanger. Descaling keeps it efficient and extends its life.
Yes. We check your gas or electrical supply and the venting to make sure a tankless unit suits your home.
Codes differ by brand, but most point to the same few faults: the unit failed to ignite, lost its flame, has a venting problem, or is overheating because of scale. Write down the code and the model, check that the gas valve is open and the unit has power, and reset it once. If the code comes back, stop resetting it and call for a repair.
Usually one of three things: the flow is too low for the unit to stay lit, often because of a clogged aerator or showerhead; scale has built up inside the heat exchanger; or more hot water is being drawn at once than the unit was sized for. A short burst of cold right after someone else finishes is normal on many units. Water that keeps going cold is not.
A licensed plumber. Plumbing in Westchester County is licensed by the county rather than town by town, and KBD holds Westchester County plumbing license #1744. Where a permit is needed, it comes from the local village, town or city building department, not the county.
